KISSING IMPERFECTIONS

I have had the privilege of being confused with one several times over the years, but mostly and oddly enough, more often in SL than in RL. I am what you would consider the type of friend that you would call after buying that pair of pants to get an honest opinion on how they look.

I can’t help but being blunt, so I guess that having an opinion column it is the right niche for a person like me. Sadly, most of the time being called a bitch for simply having a blunt on-look on things or daring to say what others simply won’t for common courtesy (but are thinking), cannot sit in well, that is until you embrace it.

My father always said that a person should not change the way they are to accommodate anyone, something you seem to forget when you start a relationship and call those changes “compromises”, you know the type “well he doesn’t like me doing this or saying this, so I’ll stop for him”

That’s your mistake right there… I am not saying nor suggesting you should get your lover or future partner to jump through the hoops you call “self-assurance” or “having a strong personality”, as you will simply be doing to him what you don’t wish to be done to you… but the minute that special someone starts pointing out those imperfections you have, instead of kissing them, that’s when you should start considering finding yourself another “someone”

I love myself… I am blunt, outspoken, opinionated and yes that might come off as being a bitch; but the people who do matter and love me, they love all of that about me and so should the people around you, whether it is in RL or SL
