RELATIONSHIPS, THAT COMPLEX R

Relationships are always based on 3 principles, attraction, friendship and support; once those three ingredients are added to the equation, you have in theory the perfect logical unit for marital bliss; but relationships are seldom based on the idea of “happily ever after” or “soul mates”, they take work, time and most of the time a bit of self sacrifice from both parties until a common ground is reached which will be satisfactory and brings happiness or stability.
Explained like that, it all sounds like too much work and not at all worth the try, but for most people, finding that person that completes you and sides by you through good times and hard times is definitively worth the try. I remember a few years back, one of my RL friends got married and after the honeymoon frenzy was over and they both had settled into their normal routines, I asked her how it was like for her to be married, to which she added “well, now I have to do everything thinking about two people”
And that’s the key idea about relationships, there’s TWO people involved not just one; once you find yourself pushing, trying and basically doing all the work,, while the other person demands constant  sacrifice and understanding, then it’s about time you find yourself another person to lean on.
My father was of the opinion that it took two people to tango, but you can always do the dancing on your own, if your dance partner basically, sucks
