Virtual Sex: Skin

Virtual sex, when you get really invested on it can be quite pleasurable and intense, but can it be compared to real life sex or should it be only used as an added feature on our sex lives? Most users in second life have relationships and even partnerships with people who are “there” within virtual proximity, but that in real life are thousands of miles away, so the skin to skin real sex is not always a viable option.

So, when you get really invested in a relationship inside the second life simulator, some people may wonder if the skin touch and body contact that is enjoyed during the intercourse is not missing from the whole experience. The brain can be a very powerful ingredient when it comes to intercourse and you can actually -I speak from personal experience- “feel” the other person.

But I have to agree with the fact that virtual sex, as amazing and gratifying as it is, will never compare to the actual skin to skin in real life: shivering by his touch, tasting his lips and tender bits, getting intoxicated by his smell and the actual feeling of his body heat against yours.

Maybe what makes virtual sex so pleasurable in second life, is the fact that we are just looking to simulate proximity, even if being “touched” is not possible and that is exactly the one thing that makes sex in second life, so incredible if done right with the right person.
